- 2 options: We either scan your part (You send it over or we have the exact same part here for scanning) or you have already a scan and send this over to us and we do the reverse-engineering. And in case you have your own 3D printer you print it yourself. Interesting for clients in the USA due to the taxes.
- We reverse engineer it ( minimum 1 review loop included and will be discussed together how many are necessary)
- If requested we print the 3D part in the material of the agreed choice
- You receive only a physical part, good when things have to get fast and you don't need more
* depends on size and complexity

About

Mission
&
Getting the Job Done
Our mission with ScanPrint-3D is simple:
to help clients move forward by delivering real, results — 3D printed physical or 3D digital files based on sketches or 3D scans.
We believe the most important work today sits at the intersection of engineering, making and understanding people. Many clients don’t struggle because technology is missing — they struggle because no one takes the time to truly understand what they are trying to achieve. The real job is rarely “just a part.” It’s about restoring functionality, enabling a next step, saving time, reducing risk, or making an idea real.
That’s why listening is a core part of my work. We invest time upfront to understand the client’s context, constraints and ambition, and then translate that into a clear scope, realistic roadmap and tangible outcome. Whether it’s a single replacement part, a prototype, or a small production run, the goal is always the same: create something that actually helps the client progress in their own mission.
Looking ahead, We see growing demand for well-designed, well-made physical or digital solutions — especially where mass production no longer serves the need. Our focus is to stay agile, hands-on honest and transparent, combining modern tools like 3D scanning, reverse-engineering and additive manufacturing with solid engineering judgment and craftsmanship. If our work helps clients move faster, decide better and build with confidence, then the job is done.

Brian Portworsnick
Founder
&
Mindset
My name is Brian Portworsnick, founder of ScanPrint-3D. My background combines technical drafting, mechanical engineering, product and automotive design, 3D digital modeling and formal project management training, giving me a strong ability to clarify scope, align expectations and keep projects on schedule. Early on I discovered a strong talent for free-form 3D surfacing, moving from AutoCAD and CATIA into Alias AutoStudio in 1998, which became the foundation of my digital work.
Over 30+ years I worked in international OEM teams across Europe and Asia. These environments taught me to think beyond standard solutions, listen carefully, manage risks early and adapt to diverse engineering and design cultures. This shaped my core mindset: be open to new perspectives, focus on what matters, and always “get the job done” with a clear, structured approach but also a lot of agility.
Today I combine 3D scanning, reverse engineering, concept modeling, and class-A surfacing to deliver clean, reliable digital data for concept development, prototypes and production workflows. Understanding physical manufacturing and digital modeling equally well allows me to solve problems faster and deliver high-quality results with consistent cost-time-quality balance.

Industry
&
Experience
My career started as technical draftsman in the automotive supplier industry, with additional experience in heavy machinery and mechanical engineering. Then I studied product design and entered the automotive design world. Over the years also aviation and marine industries. The core of my work later became high-end automotive design, with concept modeling, reverse engineering, prototypes and showcars and Class-A digital modeling.
I’ve delivered projects for Ferrari (SF90 interior), Lamborghini (Urus lighting), Geely/Zeekr interiors, BMW motorcycles, Renault concept cars, motorsport components, passenger drones and complex development tasks at Airbus Helicopters, where I owned the complete digital fuselage modeling. These projects strengthened my skills in structured development, risk assessment, and managing design-to-engineering transitions.
Today I work with Alias AutoStudio/surfacestudio and Fusion 360 to support concept modeling, reverse engineering, surfacing and prototype development. This cross-industry experience helps me quickly define a development plan, identify technical risks early and deliver production-ready 3D data or physical one off parts that fits each client’s timing, budget and quality goals.

Workshop
&
possibilities
Today, our core focus is 3D scanning, reverse-engineering, 3D printing and rapid prototyping, supported by a hands-on workshop in Prague. We can cut, mill, weld, work with metal, hardfoam, composites, wood, and support projects with FDM and resin 3D printing, including functional prototypes and small batches. A paint box setup is also available, and the workshop continuously grows based on project demands.
3D scanning and reverse engineering and 3D printing are key capabilities, using Revopoint scanners to rebuild broken, missing or discontinued parts. Typical projects include exterior tuning components, hard-to-find oldtimer parts, interior plastic parts from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, and engine bay components but also for Model making of any kind from product-design to automotive that require engineering-grade materials. Furthermore we have access to 5-axis CNC milling and other forms of prototype manufacturing can be executed in our dense network of suppliers.
Together with our clients, we select the right materials — whether PETG, PETG-CF, PPS-CF, ABS, Nylon, PC or metal solutions — based on load, temperature, environment and cost-efficiency. If something can’t be done in-house, I rely on a dense network of trusted suppliers to keep quality high and lead times predictable. The goal is always the same: a clean, well-managed solution that works the first time.
